Gunjen Mittal was born and raised in the U.S., is the sole proprietor of the yoga school Yoga Vidya and of Art.Music.Life. (a music and arts festival fused with yoga culture and sustainable lifestyle) based out of Houston, TX and works as a Social Worker/Counselor mainly serving the marginalized poor population and victims of abuse and sexual assault. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and received her 2 main Yoga Therapy certifications from the Swami Vivekananda Yoga Research Foundation and from The Yoga Institute at the 200hr level. Gunjen has been teaching yoga since 2001 in many corporate and private settings. She was one of the main Yoga Instructors for Indian seniors in Houston for 2 yrs and since then began her own school to teach general yoga and yoga targeting specific ailments such as cancer, diabetes, migraine, stress relief and depression. She has recently been invited to conduct a Yoga/Dance workshop for the National Texas Yoga Conference in 2012.
