Arka Mukhopadhyay is the founder member of The Arshinagar Project. He is engaged in performance research and performance making, and is also a recognized poet. He was the winne of the TFA Award for Creative Writing in 2008, and was a recipient of the Inlaks India Theatre Awards grant in 2010. He was also in the final short-list for the Srinivasa Rayaprol Poetry Prize in 2010. He has also actively worked with numerous schools and NGOs all over India.
