Students will learn different forms of tribal arts and crafts which are prevalent in the country. Students can choose to learn any two of the following:
- Gond (Madhya Pradesh)
- Kalamkari (Andhra Pradesh)
- Warli (Maharashtra/Gujrat)
- Pattachitra (Orissa)
- Rajasthani
- Madhubani (Bihar)
- Phad (Rajasthan)
The course will be conducted from 11 am to 1 pm on Sunday, May 13th. Fee for 2 people is Rs. 2500 (special rate for Mother’s Day). All materials will be provided. You get to take home the art you create, a memorabilia of this Mother’s Day. Call 9818870047 for queries.
I have held exhibitions at Mumbai, Delhi, Vishakapatnam and Houston (USA), besides showing these techniques on television. I have been holding arts and crafts workshops for the last 20 years by the name of 'Creative Art' for adults and kids. I believe everyone has an individual quality that can be fostered not only through spontaneous expression, but also through a wide range of materials to work with and an exposure to contemporary and traditional art forms.
