Session One : 10 am – 1 pm
Session Two : 2 pm – 5 pm
(Same techniques are taught in both sessions)
Cost : Rs. 2,000 (materials, tools & refreshments included)
Venue : CMYK Bookstore, 15 – 16 Mehar Chand Market, Lodhi Road, New Delhi.
Participants will leave with 1 slotted – tape binding and a tool-kit, which will enable you to make your own books, by the end of the session.
I am extremely passionate about handmade products. I have been binding books and making paper by hand for the past seven years. After learning informally and training under various individuals for six years I am currently pursuing a 3 year MFA in Book Arts at the Center for the Book at the University of Iowa in USA.
I love teaching and hope that the more people that learn about this craft and its history and become interested in it, the more it will flourish and grow in India. I have taught workshops at various places in India as well as courses at the National Institute of Design in Ahmedabad and Srishti School of Art and Design in Bangalore.
