Why Me?
I am a professional travel and editorial photographer. I've been at it since 2002.
In recent times, most of my professional assignments have been photographing Corporate Social Responsibility programmes in the fields of agriculture, education, healthcare and tourism etc.
I enjoy only a very few things other than travelling, making photos and discussing photography. I fuel this passion for discussing photography by facilitating photography courses and travel photography workshops since 2007.
Whilst every photo has some/a lot of journalistic elements to it, I look for the artistic elements around me and I aim to make photographs in which the artistic elements overpower the journalistic counterpart yet giving a picture that provides infinite editorial information about the elements in that frame.
I have designed my workshops and courses in such a way that one's core fundamentals of photography will always remain strong. It's only if your fundamentals are in place that the creativity within you gets liberated giving you the freedom to explore your passions through photography.
I don't look at this as a formal setup. It's not an institute where you learn and "pass out". In fact, I create an environment that is conducive for learning by the exchange of ideas.
I'm presently a visiting faculty at S.N.D.T Women's University.
