Students begin with all the basics from hand building techniques of working with clay to working on the potter’s wheel to glazing. Some time is also spent on understanding the various types of clay body and glaze raw materials that are being used. After the first 8 sessions, the classes are structured depending on the student’s area of interest and level of skill. We strengthen our fundamentals of designing in clay and students can choose to focus on functional products, sculptures, murals or a combination of everything. All this while experimenting with various techniques of glazing.
One can join at any point as each student follows his own pace. Classes are conducted once a week and each session is for 3 hours. The fee is Rs.3000 per month (4 sessions) inclusive of all materials as well as the firing of all the pieces.
